Not a photo but still a party, never forgot the wording.
On the Last transatlantic crossing of QE2
I removed the Steiners party pass from my scrapbook before being viewed by passengers, crew, Commodore Warwick, and the press and now missing along with the QE2 party pass for the Mecca on the pier in Southampton.Philippe Spanner (0 votes)

As a trainee in the engine room my Chief Engineer allowing this when I was not on duty or watch, to enable me to see many of the ports we visited and to gain experience on boats which were also our lifeboats. Not to mention that the overtime payments were also gratefully received..lol I can't remember the name of my fellow crew ( but he was Scottish) but on my very first trip on the QE2 at the age of 16 we also shared a cabin for a brief periodJohn D Hobley FinstR (0 votes)

Bell Boy duties.598 viewsI loved my time on board. When i first joined I used to earn something like £6.00 a week wages, a poultry amount even in those days. However i soon cottoned on to the fact that you could supplement your wages big time by being attentive about your duties, being nice to people, charming and flattering them and doing all things with a smile. I soon got used to making about $85.00 average a week in tips. I had nothing better to do than enjoy my work.David Risley (0 votes)
