Wonderful scenes there! Congratulations to all the winners.

It is easy to see why all these are highly treasured photos. We are grateful to everyone who entered their favourite pictures and in some cases told us why they were so special to them. I would love to read the stories from the prizewinners :) .

The October competition ended with one clear winner : cruiseqe2. This is the first time in the ten years of our photo competitions that all three photos entered by one member have been winners!

The main winner is "About to Leave Southampton - 18/12/2005" by cruiseqe2.

Cruiseqe2 also brought us two of the three runners-up. The first of these is "About to Leave Southampton for the Last Time - 11/11/2008".

The second of the three runners-up, "In Madeira 15/10/2001", was also by cruiseqe2.

The third of the three runners-up was "Newcastle" by Hamburger.

Congratulations to cruiseqe2 and Hamburger for these wonderful night time photos!

My Dad will be chuffed to be this months winner! This photo was from our first trip where the North Atlantic was sunny, clear, and sparkled like the Mediterranean most of the way across.
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

I will let my Dad know he's this month's photo competition winner - he will be chuffed! I always liked the spherical aft deck lights and this photo makes you look twice to check which is the moon or not!
