Shirley Slater and Harry Basch's article from 6 July 1997 initially reports that the ship was in the news again for not passing an inspection, although it subsequently passed on re-inspection. 

The article continues with the news that Cunard is promoting recent renovations that are a bit more successful than the renovations in 1994 that resulted in "exploding toilets".

Interesting wee article that mentions the reduction in passenger numbers, increasing the number of days for a Transatlantic crossing from 5 to 6 plus some other snippets of information, although very basic. 

Any other information on the ship failing inspections?
