I enjoyed -

Fresh Fruit Cocktail with Cointreau
Chilled Leek and Potato Soup with Chives and a warm Roll and Butter
Traditional Roast Turkey with all the fixings
Maurice has provided us with mashed potatoes for those of us preferring that to rice
Key Lime Sorbet with a Wafer
Crepes Suzette
Hot Tea and Chocolates

Myles - what was the delicious wine you ordered for the table ?  :)

Lunch
One of those days when you don't want much, so its Split Pea soup and the chilled fruit soup
And thats its. Oh not forgetting the tea
However, i might make up for it at Afternoon tea  .

What a tasty lunch is proposed here.

I shall join Lynda in the yellow split pea soup and the eggs florentine.

And then I shall dither between the cherry pie with vanilla sauce and the chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream -- or do what Myles recommended a while back : take a small portion of both!

Yes, tea is a very good idea. Being Irish and from what I now realise is an older generation, I would like to have the tea accompanying my meal -- and perhaps a coffee after the dessert!

While you may ask for a small portion , l always felt it was unfair to leave the other half portion behind in the kitchen  ;)

Were you getting the "not secure" message by any chance...?

Hi Peter - It was taking a very long time to connect, and when it did, the page looked as if I was in programming mode.

May I have please -

Hawaiian Chicken Salad
Chilled Gazpacho
Baked Vegetables in Filo Pastry
Sherry Trifle and one scoop of Exotic Fruit Sorbet with a Wafer
Cappuccino and Chocolate Mints  :)

And I will join Lynda with a glass of white wine during the main course.  :)

A lunch menu with some delicious choices.

Today I will have:

Chilled melon platter
Cream of carrot soup with a touch of brandy (never had brandy in soup before)
Vegetarian vol au vent with mushroom ragout and broccoli rose
Rum and raison cheese cake with vanilla ice cream

Capuccino coffee

I will need to walk three times around the deck later to shed some calories.
