Anyone in Gib at the moment?  Looks like she's currently anchored in the harbour.  Better than aimlessly "drifting" about in the Med.

Gibraltar website still says "Orders".

Some rumours on other forums that Classic International Cruises are interested, but another one says they definitely aren't.

Look at the ages of their ships..........seems some people can keep older ships in service compliant with SOLAS2010.

Still docked in Gib as of 11/01/2010.  Are there are forum members in Gib who can go down and take a look?

The other forums out there have gone quiet about her too...........but clearly some one is trying to keep her from going to Alang, otherwise she'd have been on her way along time ago?

That's a proper ship!

She's anchored outside the harbour tonight

I can't help thinking another voyage or two would have been preferrable to being anchored in Gib all this time.

When I did my QE2 trip to the Norwegian Fjords we went to Stavanger.

I looked on Google and Bing maps to see the town, Google doesn't have maps at high resolution for Stavanger but Bing (Microsoft) does.

And look what is in dock at the time they took the photos:

Try scrolling the picture a bit  to get the stern view then move the image up and down a little bit- it's possible to make her instantly vanish and then re-appear!

Nice picture, by the way. :)

Thanks for the images!
Does anyone know why she keeps going to sea, unlike poor QE2 always tired up in Dubai?

During the bad weather phase in December, there was speculation on Liners' List that this could have been to ride out the storm. Not sure whether all her jaunts have had anything to do with the weather though...

Has anyone got news about her? I used to visit the docks to see her when she was Sajafjord, and was lucky enough to catch her last year when she visited as Saga Rose. She was still lovely, I have a couple of pix of her docking at Princes' Wharf. So, of course I wonder what will be her fate.

Hello Mauretania.

Unfortunately i dont have any news on the Saga Rose, however, having just checked the Marine Traffic website, i see shes once again docked in Gibraltar, but this time in a different area of the Port. Does anyone have any idea why she is here? Is this the military part of the port, or is it a multi-use area?

 Any info will be appreciated!

Matt
