Very interesting

I have quite a bit of memorabilia from QE2 (menus, guest lists, daily activity sheets, newspaper cuttings  etc ) which I am going to put together in one large A2 folder and also add to them stamps, covers etc which relate to The QE2 ...quite a big task ....I was wondering how you present your menus etc or do you just keep them in a box or something similar

Likewise, my Dad recently gave me all our QE2 trips memorabilia/documents (and for QM2 at least partially) so I can archive them and keep them (as family heirlooms if you like). I'd be interested in how different people go about archiving etc etc.

First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Interesting

I am thinking of using large A2 Display Books so that I can display newspapers and larger items etc

Thank you, Louis. I am enjoying these, and very tempted to go through the menus and choose what I would have taken :) .

Interesting to see the menus using the word "Entrée" (i.e. Starter) to designate the Main Course, which for some reason unknown to me Americans have decided to do. I wonder when Cunard opted to use this American (and wrong) vocabulary for the meal courses on board?

Louis, when posting the Daily Programmes, could you please check whether there is any other interesting information beyond the front pages and if so, include it?

In particular, I would be interested in information on named crew members (Captains, Chief Engineers, etc, which we can use to update Forum pages), as well as any mentions of celebrity passengers.

Thank you very much for giving us this series of days to follow and enjoy.

This is interesting. As an American I never thought about it until travelled to France and learned that the French see this usage as "wrong". I've assumed it was "wrong" and never knew why it happened. Your comment made me curious again ... and it turns out there is more to the story than I thought!

And I apologize in advance for going a bit off topic!  Now we can go back to dreaming about what we would have ordered on this world cruise!!
