I was on board during the cruise and have newspapers of the event from every port of call. Pics of the coverage in The Clydebank Post are attached. (sorry about the poor image quality and the fact I can only post 8 pages - if anyone really wants to read the articles let me know and Ill do proper scans)

I like where it says about them waiting patiently for the ship to come up the river in 2009... Wonder how long they waited for!

A much better view to be had of QE2 at Greenock Ocean Terminal in those days - I see the structure in place for one of the sheds in front of the ship.

I had only been working in Port Glasgow for a matter or months before her visit - I had no idea how big a thing it was for the locals in those days!!
