I was on board during the cruise and have newspapers of the event from every port of call. Pics of the coverage in The Clydebank Post are attached. I like where it says about them waiting patiently for the ship to come up the river in 2009... Wonder how long they waited for!

A much better view to be had of QE2 at Greenock Ocean Terminal in those days - I see the structure in place for one of the sheds in front of the ship.

I had only been working in Port Glasgow for a matter or months before her visit - I had no idea how big a thing it was for the locals in those days!!
