September 2017 -- Ropes

This month's theme is " Ropes", chosen by Cruiseqe2, the winner of the June competition.

There should be a link with QE2 in the pictures you enter, while any sort of ropes will do.

The prize this month is the book "Pride of the North Atlantic" by David F Hutchings, donated by Isabelle Prondzynski. Alternatively, June Ingram is offering a jigsaw of the prizewinning picture.

The choice is yours -- which will it be?

The album is open -  so now is the time to look for your most interesting pictures on this theme. Wishing you happy memories as you search your photo collection to find up to three pictures to upload to the competition album.

The deadline for submitting photos is 2 October 2017. Voting will run from 3 October 2017 until 31 October 2017. (extended timescale)

Twelve days into the September competition and I noticed there was only one lonely pictures had been added.   

Even though I am extremely busy with the final preparations for the  conference, I found time to find three photos. They may not be the best of photos but it is the taking part that is important.

16 excellent photos but we need some more photos of "Ropes" on QE2 would be excellent.

As we have all been busy, one way or another, with the Conference, as agreed with Lynda, this call for entries to the September competition will stay open until 2 October midnight (all time zones).

Looking forward to lots more entries! Three pictures per member -- sad though it may be to leave out a favourite fourth...
