3D Queen Mary "model" on Google Earth / Google Maps
« on: Aug 02, 2016, 08:32 PM »
If you go to Long Beach on Google Maps, you can see the Queen Mary in 3D.

Not sure how you do it on a Mac, but on a PC, just hold down the CTRL key and then click-drag the mouse to move the 3D scanned model of the ship around.  (you can do this at lots of locations around the world, it can be amazing - I just checked and there's a 3D SS United States and a 3D Queen Mary 2 in New York).

What it does serve to do, is make her look very tired indeed... but, of course, its completely incredible she's still with us at all.

Photo attached to show what I'm blethering about.

Tired maybe :(

But l do defy anyone to actually take time, step aboard, Go do the Sunday Brunch, still voted the best in So Cal and not be unimpressed. Iv always said if you spare the time stop over on her for a night and you get to experience a whole new ship, the day trippers have gone, a shower before dinner , drinks in the Observation lounge and a walk on the fabled decks its truely is an amazing experience. And before you do finally hit the pillow, pop your head outside the door, look down the lobby and you would swear you were at sea on the North Atlantic...
Theres a sale on right now for her cabins, there will probably be anothe sale on Black Friday, for 50% off the rooms, Thats when l book an extravagant suite for an inexpensive rate for Christmas Day night , and this year l can have a lay in beyond 4am till 6am before heading to Sin City

A thought to ponder in hospitality, last year she had all her cabins full on Christmas Day....and the night before, and this was with regular guests.
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!
