Photo of the month competition - instructions on how to vote for your favourite photo

The theme for the July competition was "QE2's places in history", chosen by Bob C the runner up for the April competition.

Thank-you to everyone who submitted photos, which we really appreciate and we hope that you enjoy choosing your 3 favourite photos

Voting is easy but you need to be a forum member and log into the forum to vote.  Even if you have not submitted photos please support those who have participated, by choosing the three best photos, noting the details then tick the relevant box on the poll.  But if you have submitted photos please do not vote for the photos you have entered.

To make it easier for you we have posted the photos below, however you can also view the photos in the Gallery  where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photo to see medium size, then click again, to see them in large size. Go to Gallery Album

The prize this month is the book "Waltzing on the QE2", donated by Isabelle Prondzynski.

You can read more about this book on this topic:
https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/index.php/topic,3944.msg5365.html#msg5365

Alternatively, June Ingram has offered as a prize the jigsaw version of the winning photo. It will be interesting to see which is preferred!

You will not see the results until after the voting has closed on 1 September 2016 giving other time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

Please enjoy viewing these fantastic photos and thank-you for voting.  :)

The poll for the July competition "QE2's places in history" is now open and ready for your votes.

This was an interesting theme that was open to interpretation and we saw entries of places of historic interest, places where QE2 made history and places onboard ship, that will sadly become history.

Thank-you to everyone who participated and good luck.

I just voted.  I usually look at the photos several times throughout the month and cast my vote toward the last of the month.  But with every photo submitted, every one stands out as a winner.  My selection has been made and with great difficulty.  Each marvelous photo represents our beloved ship in a unique way to the photographer and to those of us seeing the photo.  A toast to our photographers and to the most wonderful ship in the world - past, present, and future !

Only 9 votes have been cast so far.  The photos entered for vote are absolutely marvelous.  Don't be deterred by the difficulty in making your selections.  It is a wonderful way to go back and be with QE2 for a bit.

The shortage of votes may be something to do with it being the middle of the summer holidays time?  People may be away?  ( I've just been away for a week but I did vote beforehand... ;) )

You could be right Peter.  Fourteen people have voted and we still have over two weeks to go, so let's hope these wonderful pictures get lots more votes.

40 in a day does seem somewhat lower than usual though?
