I'd like to thank everybody who organised the weekend as well :) Back in 2008 I left QE2 at the pier in Southampton never to see her again.  Since then I've felt there has been something missing from my life. The events in Glasgow have provided a closure for me and I am now able to look back at QE2 and remember the good times without feeling the presence of QE2's ghost.

This very interesting article written by Neil Oliver appeared in The Sunday Times on Sunday September 24th.
Rather appropriately it was the day after we took the clipper down The Clyde to see the "birthplace" of The QE2

As has been said before - thanks for such a wonderful day. Your efforts over the past 2 years to set it up were worthwhile.
The conference was way above my expectations.
Pity about the myriad of errors in the Clydebank Post article!!!

Finally back in the US after our Scotland and Ireland holiday where we kicked things off with a bang at the QE2 50th.  The conference and celebration were absolutely fantastic events.  My wife and I enjoyed every minute of them.  Thanks to those that put in all the hard work.  Please know that your investment of time and effort was well worth every bit - well done!!!

I did not take very many, but rest assured I will be sending them all in.  They are still in the camera at the moment.

Sorry for the delay; I have just mailed them in.

All, I had to share this photo with you.  It is a screen capture Rob interviewing me at the QE2 50th event that was posted to my office door.  Apparently, someone tipped off my office mates about the FB video and now, at Disney, I am somewhere in between famous (locally) and ocean liner geek.  I think that's a great place to be!

That's hysterical!

Hope they saw your lengthy contribution to one of Britain's biggest newspapers too!
