The Blue Meanie on QE2 Aug 2004

I would say that the Big Blue Meanie from the Beatles' Yellow Submarine film was the strangest guest I had to look after on QE2. He travelled from Southampton to Liverpool in August 2004. Happily pictures do not exist of me lying on the Bridge Wing holding his feet down (much to the amusement of Captain McNaught) to stop him blowing overboard as the wind was ferocious as we sailed up the Mersey. And then Mr Meanie git jammed in the narrow curving staircase leading up to the Bridge when we left the Bridge!

What was the Blue Meanie doing on QE2, if I may ask?

The Big Blue Meanie - wasn't he the real Yellow Submarine?
This could be the beginning of something else -  think of the Funnel run - that could have been quite an adventure too...
Did he get his own cabin?
btw - where did you park him... he'd have enjoyed skate-boarding on The Bench!
And - Have you still got him?
Answers - on a postcard, please ;)
