2013 Archive - Instructions for April's Photo Competition - "QE2's Boat Deck"

Isabelle, the joint winner of the January competition has chosen "QE2's Boat Deck" as the theme for the April Photo of the Month Competition. 

These could be interior or exterior pictures taken on Boat Deck.

The Album is now open so look out your photos ready to submit your entry as once again we have a prize for the winner, so look out for information about this within the next week. 
 
The deadline for submitting photos will be 30 April 2012.  Voting will run from 1 May 2012 until 31 May2012.

Follow the simple directions below to upload your photo:

1.   Select the photos you would like to submit (a limit of 3 per month)
     
2.   Click on the Gallery button from the Forum or click on this link:

3.   Click on “Upload File” select “Photo of the Month” album for the current month and upload file by clicking on “browse.”
4.   Remember to add details of when and where the photo was taken.

Remember if you have any difficulty uploading photos to the Gallery please contact one of the Moderator Team as we would be only to willing to help you or to upload the photos for you. 

Voting:

Each month you will vote for your favorite photos from the previous month. Currently members are voting for the February Photo of the Month. Have a look at these fabulous photo entries and vote before 31 March 2012.

Lynda just added a photo here its not much from the Boat Deck but more the upper view over the tenders.Please tell me if that photo fits with the theme

I have had a lovely Sunday morning setting up the poll for the April Photo Competition - QE2 Boat Deck, ready for you to start voting on Tuesday. 

I have so enjoyed studying the wonderful photos that members have submitted for the competition and lovely memories of walking on the boat deck have came flooding back as I was working on this task.

Remember you still have time to submit your photos up until midnight on 30 April. The prize for the winner of the April Photo of the Month competition is a copy of Carol Thatcher's Forty Years Famous book.  See here for more details:

Hi Lynda
I just uploaded photos for the first time, but the info (when and where) did not appear in the April competition page. What should I do to correct this?  I added the info as the name of the file on 'My Pictures'. Sorry - new to all this technology!

Hi Linda, I have just checked and the photos are in the right place and part of the April competition. Great to see them!

I particularly like the one of the revolving door between the shops and the deck, and wish I had thought of taking pictures in this area too...

The info is there in the filename, and I am adding it for you in the text.

Thank-you Linda for adding your photos to the competition.  I know what it is like when you are trying something new for the first time on the Forum.  Sorry that I was not around to help earlier this afternoon but good to see that Isabelle was around and managed to check this out for you.

Linda - thank you for your message. I will continue to get to grips with the technology and hope to post an 'introduction' soon - only about 3 years overdue!

Isabelle - apologies for not spotting that it was you who responded to my query. I was in a rush to get to the local coffee (and cake!) shop and didn't read the message properly!  Thank you for sorting things out for me.
