Hi Rob,

A get together on board in 2024 would be a pleasant day oot!!

The 2024 Clyde Timetable is usually out and available for booking in January so we could look at that and then suggest a couple of sailings to see which one suits those interested best.

Gav

Saw the new Waverley TV advert last night, really brilliantly done!

Extract from Waverley's newsletter.  She is now southward bound for the remainder of her Summer Season and will return to Glasgow in the Autumn.  Interesting to read she will be meeting up with Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle.  Hoping to hear from any of our members who have plans to sail on either of the ships.

Waverley departed Largs on Sunday evening and proceeded directly to Falmouth arriving yesterday afternoon. She had a reasonable passage south but did encounter some sea conditions. Today her crew will prepare her for passenger service from tomorrow at the start of her 5-day programme in the South West. Ticket sales for the South West sailings are very encouraging with some sections of the programme now fully booked. We are particularly excited about meeting Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle on Saturday. Media attention on the only two operational paddle steamers meeting on the Dart for the first time is building. There are a few tickets remaining for the coach from Dartmouth to Plymouth on Saturday morning and for the cruise from Plymouth to Dartmouth with coach return should you still wish to be aboard Waverley for this historic event. The Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company are operating Kingswear Castle on a special sailing on Saturday at 3:15pm to meet Waverley, tickets for this can be purchased directly by calling 01803 555872.

I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

We've had a terrible summer here on the west coast of Scotland and it makes Waverley's decision to spend a good chunk of the season down South make all the more sense.

I liked this juxtaposition of two stories on my news feed that illustrated this!
