Welcome to the forum Doug, It would be great to hear which refits you worked on, not only QE2 of course. Did you ever travel overseas ie to Bremerhaven with your company.
Look forward to hearing more from you as time permits.
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

Welcome to the Forum Doug!

Would love to hear more of your stories of working on the QE2 refits.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Thanks very much for the welcome. I was first introduced to her when i worked for Coulmers from park gate my boss was Dennis Woodford a well known friend of the tech office. We manufactured some new dumb waiters for the brittania resturant and sailed with her to install them to new york my first visit to america what a way to see the big apple.Coulmers packed up and dennis started Clinton Eng. and then spent many trips aboard as a contractor and loved every minute.

Loving your story so far! Fascinating. Do you perhaps have any photos from that time? Would be fascinating to see.
