Fingers crossed that they're as good as their word and it's not the economic situation that is driving this decision but good news all the same.

And a letter from Historic Scotland came this morning, acknowledging again the request for 'Listing'!
The site has been visited by Historic Scotland, and currently, consultations are taking place.
They are kindly wanting to keep me informed, and write that they are 'moving forward with the case'.

As you can tell, at the moment it sounds as if a decision on the 'Listing' is possibly reaching it's most crucial stage!
Hope my introducing-people-to-each-other skills are up to the mark - as would hate the idea of having to bail out at this stage!

Thanks so much to everyone who is helping in trying to make a difference
Please everyone, continue to keep your fingers well crossed!
Rosie.

This is beginning to sound like it is going to have a happy ending. It's good to know that the people of Clydebank are of the same opinion as most of us here on the forum. It's also heartening to think that we can make a difference by adding our voice to any groundswell of public opinion. As a forum member I'm proud to be associated with all the good efforts that were made in raising awareness and as a Bankie I'm delighted that a significant part of the town's history will be saved for future generations.  ;D
