My parents Ruby Anniversary cake on QE2 in 2007
They still lament about the delicious Afternoon tea, the cake and the ship ;)

Couple of Cakey pics from  my collection. One made for me on my 27th birthday, the other served rather brutally in the darkroom to Peter Noble (noddy) one of the other ships photographers on his birthday. In the doorway is the 'feccie' who made the face cake, don't remember his name now but he was quite a frequent visitor to the darkroom.

Last Thursday was my 60th Birthday.

My lovely wife had organised a surprise birthday party for me which was well attended by family and friends. My sister and her husband had even travelled nearly three hundred miles to be there. She had booked an entire Chinese restaurant and we had the most wonderful and authentic Chinese buffet which went down well with everyone. It was as very special evening.

Then came my Birthday cake. It broke my heart to cut it up.
