I have had one of these for 5/6 years, think I paid about £25 on ebay for it....

I tried to buy one on ebay this year and was unsuccessful.  the winning bid was about £100 so you done well to get it for £25 Andrew.

Original QE2 1969 Transatlantic Brochure (Book)

A very very special gift arrived in the mail for me today. It came from fellow Cunard Insights Lecturer and his wife who sailed on QE2's maiden transatlantic.

The book is about 50cm long by 30cm wide, and has some amazing imagery.

It details the history of Cunard, QE2 to date, the people behind the ship (Sir Basil, Commodore Warwick etc) and the interior.

I particularly like the artists rendition of the Grill Room!

Seeing these pictures makes me all envious! Looks like a gorgeous book, and I am looking forward to the day when I can leaf through one of them when visiting a QE2Story friend :) .

Seems like they are gradually making their way to owners who really appreciate them. Congratulations, Chris, this one has found an excellent home!

I tend to prefer these water-coloured cutaway drawings to the computer generated 3D views of today.

They had more style and personality.

This book in itself is a beautiful work of art.

The QE2 Transart Brochure is one QE2 item I would love to possess.  The copy you have been given Chris looks in particularly good condition.  Enjoy!  :)

And did you buy it, Bob? Are we getting more and more copies into the tender hands of QE2Story Forum members?

I purchased a Transart Brochure from Ebay last year and just absolutely love it.  It is in good condition, although it did not have it's original box.  I had previously bid a couple of times and been unsuccessful, but this time I was determined to get it.

I love looking at the photos of the ship in her original decor and the section with the plan of the ship detailing all the areas of the ship from the funnel to the fresh water cooling plan is brilliant.

I have seen eBay ranging from £50 to £100 depending on the condition and the number of bidders.  I am sure the person who is selling would be willing to negotiate.
