QE2 captains on QM2

With Nick Bates now departed from Cunard, I am told that Paul Wright will do his farewell voyage aboard QM2 before retiring.

This leaves Ian McNaught (Seabourn) and David Perkins (?) as the only two 'original' Cunard Captains left.

Of course Captain Rynd is in Cunard now, and I assume he will move across to QM2 to take up the relief position given his experience with the Flagship. We saw him aboard QV from QM2 last week.

My query is, will Captain Perkins return to Cunard as the last 'original' Cunard Captain? With his resignation from the line, I am almost sure Captain McNaught won't.

I have heard rumors of Wright's retirement, but nothing truly definitive yet.  I think he's still a bit younger than his other retired colleagues.  May I ask you where you have received this information?

Also, don't forget about Captain Wells!  He's an 'original' as well

Chatter aboard QM2 was that Captain Wright will return to command her for his forthcoming farewell voyage.
