Beautiful presentation!

And quite a different menu from what we got in later years.

Were there any vegetarian options in the 1980s? I used to be very impressed by the efforts made for vegetarians in the 2000s.

Very few vegetarian options in those days...most done to order - carnivores ruled the waves then!!!

A selection of menus from the 1980's

Hi
Thanks so much for posting these.
Isn't the choice of food and expressions/wording on the Menu 'classic',
and seems to be stuck in a 60s and 70s sort of time warp?!!
This is exactly the sort of menu that you might find at The Aldelphi Hotel in Liverpool
in its hey day too!

Unless I'm very much mistaken, It was me who took that group photo at the Shangri-La.

I believe I did. Because of the work we did we were usually required to attend these events and generally got the chance to enjoy the perks too. I've got a photo of myself and ex-wife somewhere in my collection taken in the same location as the group shot, will have to scan & post.

Would be great to see it Alan. Got some Photographed Onboard shots to upload when I work out where. Wonder if it's your handwriting on the back of a couple.

And as if by magic, here is the aforementioned photo of myself and my ex, Karen Newman as she was at that time. Sorry, I know it's not a restaurant menu, just tying off the thread from riskygizmo's earlier post.
