Hey, ThijsM!
Is that an iceberg on the Horizon?
Here's the Mast Topic!

And as you say, the lovely round white receivers ( I think??) would be a good addition too!
Your anchor cables are so neat!

Don't mind the 'iceberg', it's some rendering mistake :D
I need to find a suitable background to render with, but I'll first finish the model itself.

Thanks a lot for that topic about the mast, I hadn't a lot of photos but I knew it had a difficult shape to model. I won't go into detail that much because on such a render from afar, that isn't visible. ;)

Now I added the windows and the "CUNARD" you mentioned. It isn't still perfect though, so I'll tweak it some more!

If you want to have a look at the font used for the Cunard sign, you can find it here :

... and the following photos. But that may be taking it a bit too far  ;D  !

Thanks for the photo's of the font! It can come in handy!

Now, I need to make an advertisment for the QE2 with my model. It has to be in '60 - '70 style. Anyone has some good examples or suggestions?

ThijsM - you probably would need permission to use any of this

Then there are some promotional ads and things here on the Forum -
and maybe you'll be lucky and find something on ebay under QE2 and Posters

Have a look at this - http://travel.webshots.com/album/565040576lwejaS (a very early brochure)

Hi guys,

The exam is near! Monday I need to present the teachers the QE2! Here are some renders after postproduction in photoshop. The last one is the ad I made, but it need some text under the photo (don't know what yet :p)

The first one is a render I edited in photoshop, I used it in the ad!

Looks very good, I must say!

But just for your text : Queen Elizabeth II is the Monarch, while Queen Elizabeth 2 is the ship. Perhaps this can still be changed...?

Hope all goes well for you in the exams! You have certainly worked very hard, and very well  ;D  !

Hi ThijsM

It's truly amazing!
And as Isabelle mentions - As you have done on the bow - It is  2, not II!
It's an interesting 'Z' in the font in the Ad!

BEST OF LUCK!
Rosie

Hi ThijsM  :)

How did you get on?

Hope both you and QE2 passed with Top Marks,
and that you won't have to wait as long for your result as we have been waiting for News of QE2!

Well, they found it really good! Except for some minor detail errors and finishing details that were finished to fast. But I think that has to be an A.

I'll now it on the 28th of June :p
