Queen Mary in Southampton before her final departure
« on: Jan 29, 2010, 08:29 AM »
A pilgrimage I made to Southampton in October 1967 just a week or so before she sailed for Long Beach. It was strange to see her parked away up in the New Docks.

Amazing photo.

When you look at her, and then look at QE2 which came along less than 2 years later, it makes QE2 look very advanced indeed... surely QUeen Mary was looking pretty ancient in the late 60s?
