Have been informed that this programme is to be repeated on Radio4, Wed 20th Jan@ 11-02 (unfortunately wasn't told as to whether this is am or pm) .look out for it in the listings, I obtained a copy of the broadcast courtesy of Falling Tree Productions, it's well worth a listen.( not wanting to cause any difficulty to anybody,     for information received) 'allegedly'   not all the original content was allowed to be broadcast courtesy of Cunard

And the website of the programme

For anyone else who may be unable to access or hear the progamme on iplayer,
it's so very good that I have begun to transcribe some of it!
When I've done more I'll post it here!
'Fraid it will be without sound effects tho' and like QE2, there could be a bit of a wait...!
life's full of 'stuff to do' at the moment!
Rosie.

Thank you, Rosie, for sending that link. I really enjoyed listening to that programme! There is so much truth in the voices of the interviewees... and in the whistle of QE2...

A far better broadcast than the film about her last voyage, I found. But then, the pictures on radio are so often so much better than those on television...

Thanks so much for posting Rosie.  Hearing her voice again still sends shivers up my spine.  I have to agree with Commodore Burton-Hall describing her as "sexy" when viewed head on while in drydock.  She has the most fabulous curves, functional too, that we will never see again.
