A picture my dad took of myself Anne family back in 1965 at the Inchgreen dry dock.

That is just awesome!! Thanks for sharing!

I am current custodian of a collection of negatives and prints called the H Climie Collection. The collection dates from the early 30's through to the 70's and there are some real gems.

Here are two of them showing QE in Inchgreen Drydock, Greenock in 1965 receiving a refit which would see her move into cruising as well as transatlantic. A notch had to be cut into the head of the drydock for her bow in order to close the dock gates!!

This shot shows that classic parabolic sheer off to great effect. Not necessary these days using modern building techniques but a bit of sheer in the hull just makes a ship look like a ship!!!

What a sight she must have been when passing the drydock by car.

Brilliant photos! Cheers for sharing. There is such a treasure trove of QE "stuff" on here! - I could spend all day here!
