Hello everybody, fraid I'm a big thicky with all this technology, am so glad I chanced upon this site where there are so many likeminded people as myself with regards to QE2. It really would be fantastic if some rescue plan could be arranged,it just seems so hopeless sat here thinking about it all.my everlasting memory of her is standing under the bridge facing forward ,leaning on the rail & feeling the vibration running through my body when she left port & saluted with the 3 blasts of that magnificent horn, really does bring on the tears just thinking about it.(suppose it's a bit sad) . Maybe with regards to a rescue plan 'Jim' could fix it , after all he sailed on her loads of times, bet he isn't too happy with what's going on .will go for now have lots to look at ,thanks pete cain.....

Welcome Pete, you've found your group of like minded people here!

I am sure there isn't one of us who can resist the QE2 whistle, one of the most glorious sounds there are...

No problem about the technology, we are all getting used to it, and there are some really gifted people among us, starting with our Captain and Chief Passenger, Rob Lightbody.

And do join us on the qe2story World Cruise 2009 (see Afterlife) -- you may even find yourself with one of your favourite jobs on board  ;D

Isabelle.

Hi Pete!
I entirely agree with you!  Having become another of the most appreciative 'Bit beneath the Bridge' frequenters of all time - only problem was the fact that I was only on board for 2 lots of 2 weeks!
You will hear Great Whistle if you choose to enter the bit marked 'chat' at the top of the page, as long as it's re-appeared! -It went 'off' last evening, and hopefully Captain Lightbody has finished polishing his buttons and got it on-line again!
Yes - you'll find Jimmy's name on here too - maybe it's only a matter of time before someone enlists his help!

By the way - the more posts you do on this site - the sooner you'll get out of the wretched Pavilion. It would seem that absolutly everyone is downgraded on coming up the gangway for the first time - so unless you are a QE2 burger and Ugly Blue Mug addict with great affection for the Pavilion, get writing!
