Beautiful photos, well deserved winners.

I wonder when the Midships Bar Promenade photo was taken? I would love to step into that photo...

Thank-you to everyone who participated in the Photo Competitions for the 2025 Calendar.  During the month of October you have been voting for the Best of the Best of this year's winners and you have selected one winner and two runnesr up:

The winner is Katharina Ernst's picture "QE2 in the roadstead off Easter Island" This was a port of call during QE2's 2008 and last World Cruise.  A worthy winner - congratulation to Katharina!

Congratulation also to the two runners up for the Best of the Best: Rupert Ballantyne's "Elegant Midship Bar Promenade" a photo taken in the early 1980's and a wonderful reminder of the inside promenade deck.

and .....

frazscot's photo "First Dockside Crowd". A picture taken at John Brown's shipyard when the 736 was awaiting her launch and name - the Queen Elizabeth 2.

You can view the results on the poll topic

Now that we have chosen the Best of the Best from this month until Autumn next year, we will be submitting photos and voting for the photo collection to be used for the 2026 Calendar.

Thanks for the QE2 memories!

Congratulations to the members who produced the Best of the Best photographs for the 2025 calendar! Wonderful photos, Katharina Ernst, Rupert Ballantyne and frazscot! Month by month, it has been a lovely experience to choose the best photos in the competitions, and these are the standout winners of the photos enjoyed by us.

Looking forward to more excellent photos entered into the competitions during the year ahead and the 2026 calendar. And looking forward also to more members voting each month, enjoying the memories, the ship, and the pictures. Thank you all for continuing to support the QE2 Story photo competitions!
