November 2023 Poll : The Best of the Best for 2024
« on: Oct 31, 2023, 01:48 PM »
The November Photo Competition is a very special one.

Here, we have assembled all 38 prizewinning photographs that were eligible for inclusion in the 2024 calendars of The QE2 Story. Your vote will now decide which of these 38 marvelous photos becomes the top prizewinner of the year.

We also have a very special and very appropriate prize on offer. The prize is the Vistaprint QE2 Story Calendar for 2024. Our first try at a desk calendar (last year) was very successful, and a desk calendar for 2024 will be offered again this year as the prize, as an option besides a wall calendar. These calendars are again designed by Isabelle Prondzynski and are not available for purchase (only as prizes).

And because this is a special month with the top prizewinning photos, and we have a special prize on offer, everyone will have 5 votes instead of the normal three. Whoever wins will be eligible for the prize in this special competition (even if they have already won a prize earlier this year).

Voting is easy, but you need to be registered as a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote. If your own photos figure in this collection, please do not vote for them, but support the other photographers instead.

To make it easier for you, we have posted the pictures below.

However, you might prefer to turn to the Gallery Album, "Best of the Best for 2024", where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form. Plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photos to see medium size, and clicking once more to see them in large size.

https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=298

You will not see the results of the vote until the poll has closed on 1 December 2023, after all time zones have had a chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

Enjoy the variety in these photos and choose your favourites :) .

As always the choice is yours -- enjoy!

Well, for what it's worth, having 5 votes just doesn't make it easier. But the votes have been cast.

How true!  I have had an initial look, but will choose 5 tomorrow.

I have put my votes in.

Even with the extra two votes this is the sort of choice that results in hair being torn out...

Took time over coffee to enjoy these wonderful photos and make the difficult decision to choose only five.

Keep those votes coming in and make sure your favourite photos get your votes.

Already we have three photos sharing the lead.  It just shows how difficult it will be to choose the overall Best of the Best from the winners and runner up pictures.

Keep voting!

Five votes does help - although it appears one photo is in twice under different names its votes will potentially be split.

Thanks for pointing out that the same photo, having won twice was in the poll twice.  As one had no votes, I have removed this from the poll, so as not to split the vote

We had a good start to voting but this seems to have slowed down.

If you haven't voted yet, remember you have five votes this month to help you with the difficult decision of choosing your favourites.

Voted now!

Some truly incredible photos there, and more than ever I feel guilty for not picking the ones that I had to not pick... every ones a winner!

It would have been easier if we had 38 votes!
