Late August 2023 photos from QE2 Dubai
« on: Aug 28, 2023, 11:01 AM »
Alex has been back on board again, and one again is sharing some cracking photos with us.

I'll try to mix them up a bit more as I post them this time.

It’s the height of summer in Dubai, so very hot, but the ship is both looking great and coming back to life!

The Journey through Time and new museum on board are re-connecting her with her heritage and her overall condition seems excellent.

For the first time my room had some heritage in it, with a beautiful picture of Coronia.

I am as confident as I ever have been in the future of QE2…

Did anyone read the credits for "A Journey Through Time"?  We get a mention!  As do some others we know well :)

It’s such a great exhibit and credit to all who contributed.

I’d encourage any members of the forum to stop by and say hello to
QE2 if you are passing Dubai, she’s really looking great.

Fulfilling the brief - Keeping The Legend Alive.

Not only is the text very touching, and very pleasing, but also the style, which seems to reflect other plaques that we have known on board.

Compliments to Ferghal Purcell, for his contributions to keeping the legend alive.

The top of A stairway

I wonder what happened to that beautiful stained glass window?

Thank you, Alex and Rob, for showing us fresh pictures of QE2. On the whole, these interiors look clean and well cared for, although not all areas are open at this time.

Looks like the Britannia Figurehead has been moved back to her old home at the top of A Stairway.

Great to see more photos of some of the more obscure places onboard.
