Interesting report in todays Guardian, P34, apparently most companies are going the way of retro fitting scrubbers before new regulations come into force next year. The cheaper option apparently. Didn't know that all scrubbers do, is to wash the dirty fuel before use, the manky water is then dumped at sea or deposited on shore. The subtext is that most cruise companies will dump at sea , causing marine damage especially where a lot of ships congregate.
