QE2 scalex model
« on: Oct 03, 2023, 07:37 PM »
On holiday last week I spotted a model of the 'super new Cunard QE2' in an Exeter antique store. Have attached a picture of the box and will post some follow-ups of the model once I have a chance to get it out and float it. Sadly the battery motor has disappeared (though, at 50 years old, I'm not surprised).

Has anyone seen one of these before?

I remember those, the motor is housed in a torpedo shaped pod that clips on to the bottom of the model.
Those motors used to be sold separately for motorizing Airfix models etc.
Very neat find. :)

I'm pretty sure I had one when I was a kid...
