Born: 16 January 1915 in Talpoca, Hungary
Died: 2 October 2008

His Jewish father, a lawyer was involved in the 100 day communist government in 1919 in Budapest and as a result of his involvement,  the family was  forced to flee to Vienna, where Stefan was Educated at the Technische Hochschule Faculty of Architecture.

1938: Because of the political situation in Europe he was sent to London. Stefas studied at the Architectural Association School, where he graduated in 1940.

Following his graduation, he was a teacher at the Architecture Department of the Kingston School of Art

1942:  Married Opera singer, Joan Mills

Stefan Buzas Public Areas design on QE2:

The London Gallery (Boat Deck) portside on boat deck was originally designed by Stefan Buzas and Alan Irvine.  The London Gallery, used as a display area for British art, was removed at the time of the 1972 refit.

Shopping Arcade (Boat Deck): In 1969 there were  Arcades of shops on either side of the theatre balcony originally designed by Stefan Buzas and Alan Irvine. The Shopping Arcade was moved aft during the 1972 refit.

736 Club (Boat Deck) Stefan was responsible for the design along with his partner Alan Irvine
