I've got one more... not sure what year it is.  Can someone advise please?

That is the décor I remember so it looked like that from 78 - 82.

The second photo shows the chairs which I think I remember from QE2's final decade (I did not know her before then). I may be wrong... but they look familiar.

The chairs on the last photo are quite different -- so these pictures must be from several periods.

I also noticed what looks like a difference in floor levels -- if I remember well, there was a sunken area in the centre of the Queen's Grill restaurant.

The seats look like rejects from the Palm Court in The Ritz, and given how much space there is we can safely say its from her very early years of Snob Row  ;)
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

Please have a look at the photos in this topic which show The Queen's Grill as originally designed.  The chandelier figures prominently in two of the photos.  If you enlarge the photos to full screen, it does appear that there are two tiers, but several rings of crystal at the same level as the bottom tier are visible.

I always found the Queens grill cold and impersonable. The Princess grill on the other hand was warm, "clubby" and a very friendly place.

That'll do me June, thank you. Much preferred the light tan leather (no doubt) chairs in the lighting section topic  though.
