Hello Jane welcome to the forum.  Looking forward to hearing more about your time working as a nurse on QE2.

I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Hi Jane
Welcome aboard. Im sure anyone here who met Dr Nigel Roberts or read his book C-Six will be full of awe in your job in the good old days below decks, Hopefully people will only be aquainted with you in your professional role and even  then by the injections or blue pills which some people swore by.

The Hospital was always ranked on QE2 as one of the best places to have a heart attack other than being in a hospital at the time. It would be great to hear of some of your experiences and perhaps if you can share photos of The Hospital.

I remember being given a quick tour but alas l never got to see the operating room. What did stick in my mind was on one of the wards seeing the ocean swirling past the port hole ! imagine coming round and thats the view you first saw !

Am l correct in thinking that Pauline typed up the notes for The Dr.

From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

Hello Jane,
Welcome aboard, It may have been before you joined but I remember when I broke my ankle during a Transatlantic storm on the funnel deck, 2 days or so out of Southampton and it was so rough that the x ray machine would not stay still, it was on slides on the deck head and kept moving around. I had to wait until just before Southampton to get the x ray then was sent to a local hospital to recover. The good old days and very friendly (& good looking) staff for sure. John.

Hello Jane and welcome.

I would have been aboard during your timeframe but I am afraid I don't recall your name. Do you have any photos from back then? I am sure I would remember you by sight.

Anyway, it is good to have you here helping to keep these memories alive for posterity.
Don't just be part of her past, be part of her history!

Hello Jane, Welcome to the virtual QE2, theres lots of high quality nostalgia, and its beautifully run by the moderators. Theres also 'The online Wardie' facebook page.
I took my mum to the doctors a few years ago and who should appear but Angie Eddlestone (Jowett) I think she was your era.
Hope alls well, I'm now in N.Cornwall, smallholding, still playing tunes.
Any photos? Heres the wireless office, with Ian Hamilton, Allan Holmes Brian Martin, Peter Hughes & me.

Also Jane, can you name the nurse in pink next to John Pullinger in this photo. Its baffled me.

Cheers
