Your video is absolutely superb and a must see for everybody here. 

I enjoyed seeing the grand lounge used like it was originally intended to be, and the extended tour of the engine room which really gives a feel for what it was like.

Thoroughly enjoyed the video, I loved seeing parts of the ship never seen by passengers. I was on board in 93 & 94 and it was great to see her as she was then again. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! The first scene is in Hawaii and we were a couple of colleagues who took a whale watching tour. The wahle were very far away and when we came back to qe2, the wahle were very close. It's a bit crazy to work on the largest Whalewatcher "qe2" and the leisure to spend on a small boat. But no matter, we had fun as you can see.

Hello Hauke . I  must say I really enjoyed seeing this video, when I was on the ship it was super heated steam in the engine / boiler rooms so nice to see the difference but I prefer steam on a ship. I tried to take video with a super 8 I think it was called in the 70s and must one day convert that to a DVD and put it on the site when I am back in England. Well done, John.

A most interesting and fun to watch video. the crew shows were always amazing and nice to see the crew relaxing. Seeing the engine room footage always reminds me of just what a big transformation the 86/87 refit must have been. Thanks for sharing it with us.

That brought back memories for me, that was my first cruise, starting 14dec 1993 for full world cruise, I spotted chef ajid kumar or kadir(I, m always forgetting) he looks so young there,its a long time ago now, hard for me to remember faces, I remember swiss chef he was always drunk, chef tall eric last time I saw him on qe or was it victoria? I have ms so its affects my memory(myleine sheath missing in brain)it was a very interesting 16 week cruise, I got bored after a while and went and worked in the kitchens and lunch buffet in the lido , and in afternoons making stuff, and midnight buffet, in the days when it was a midnight 12o, clock start, working was very interesting , I miss qe2 if I had won the euro lottery when it was 166 million I have brought qe2 home and berthed on the thames, as a hotel and venue centre,
Anyone knòw if there is a video of 94 crew show, I enjoyed that show was really good

The video that starts this topic is incredible, especially as the years go on.  The crew party - the clothes and the music - and that version 1 of the Grand Lounge with the sparkly ceiling that I remember so well - and there's some amazing footage of the engines being serviced while underway.

Still very familiar in places despite being 10 years before I was first onboard and therefore before my time and before I was born! She was fully alive...
