At 1:33 in this video you can see the top of C Stariway and the lift doors.  The C Stairway stairs stop at 1 Deck but the lift went all the way up into the Princess Grill on the Quarter Deck.  The spiral staircase in the Champagne Bar will take you up to the PG as well.

Flagship, do you have any photos of of the Stairway C lift up on Quarter Deck by the Princess Grill?

Flagship,
I trust your QE voyage was memorable and I look forward to seeing it recapped on this board.

I also wanted to prompt you with a gentle reminder about the C Stariway lift photo on the Quarter Deck in the Princess Grill.  I look forward to seeing it - Thanks!

Had a great time thank you!

As promised, and apologies for the delay, here is the lift entrance / exit on Quarter Deck for C Stairway. The door directly ahead was for the unisex toilet. The lift doors are on the left - a very tight space and impossible to get a decent shot of the doors - for me anyway!

Yup, that's it!

Haven't seen that since 1979 as no photos of the PG ever capture it.  And speaking of the "tight space", I beleive this is one of the things that give QE2 her historic charm.

I remember landing on Q Deck by mistake after taking the C Stairway lift to the top thinking I was going to 1 Deck.  I wonder how many others found themselves there by mistake on Q Deck with the lift doors opening and not knowing which way to go.   As I remember and as depicted in your photo, there is no fast way to orient yourself once there.

Would love to take the credit Doug, but the video and a vast amount of other historical, behind-the-scenes material on this forum belongs to Flagship.

If you needed to nip to the loo during wonderful PG dinner service, this area seemed somehow to be 'behind the scenes' as the performance of the restaurant continued.  Not sure if anyone knows what I mean, but thats how this area felt.

I know exactly what you mean, Rob.  I never dined in the PG but this out of the way place seemed to remove you from the fanfare and anything else that was occuring in the restaurant (lunch and dinner set-up in my case...).
