Absolutely fascinating to see such photos. To the untrained eyes its just stairs, but to those of us here its a whole new world..

To see anything from crew country is always very interesting (onboard :-X and ashore)

Thanks for posting them  ;D

Which would be the ones that would be on the port side of 3 deck forward near 3006 ?
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

'Enjoy' - that's a bit of an understatement! Thanks so much for showing these to us.
The width of many stairways must have been restricting, and infuriating if you were late for something important - like going off duty / watch! Seeing these makes me feel even more appreciative of what working on board could been like as an experience!
Do you know whether the walls (bulkheads?) of the staircase were squeezed between storage space, those huge exhaust pipes, ballast tanks even? It could have been really hot and noisy for the crew - not to mention bewildering for the novice! - Again, no daylight either.
I wonder if any crew member managed to use a pedometer, to measure miles covered over time?!

So true Myles - Fascinating, and a world apart. One that many 'guests' wouldn't have imagined, in terms of inconvenience etc (as well as convenience ;)

Lets see if i still remember my way around the ship ok talking about Batch 1 photos 1,2,3 that is Crew Stairway 5 that is the most busy one.It runs from Seven Deck to Quater Deck when reaching here their is a added stairway the leads you up to Boat Deck direct into the QG Galley. All crew that work in the galley or restaurants use mostly this stairway to go to work and back.Their is also here 3 lifts 2 for crew and 1 for storing. This stairway runs side by side with the passengers Stairway C.

Yes the staircases are all squeezed into something and the crew dont even think about it.

Yes very hot specially when the ship is in hot waters and very noisy yes remember those staircases apart from taking crew to work and back its also used 24 hours around the clock by the of duty crew after all is our home for a least 3 months.
