We are delighted to inform you first that bookings are now open for London & Thames sailings which operate from Friday September 22 until Sunday October 8. This year sees Waverley sail from Ipswich for the first time in over 2 decades (year 2000). A highlight will be the cruise to Knock John Fort on Saturday September 30 when Waverley will take part in a Historic Ships Parade meeting up with Steam Tug Challenge, X-Pilot, Vic 96 and Touchstone. This year also sees several cruises on the River Thames where Waverley will steam through Tower Bridge Twice, possibly the ultimate Waverley Thames cruise!
We can report that the early season was an outstanding success with passenger footfall and income beating many past records. The return to the Bristol Channel exceeded all expectations with an average of over 1,000 passengers a day being carried. The ship is now two weeks into her main summer Clyde sailing programme with some notable highlights to come in the weeks ahead including, Ayr sailings (from July 24), visits to Ardrishaig (July 30 & August 23), an evening cruise round Bute (July 26) and the special sailing round the Isle of Arran (August 14).
Bookings are also open for the South Coast sailings. We would now recommend booking in advance if you would like to be aboard for the Bournemouth Air Festival cruise on Sunday September 3 or one of the Round the Island Cruises.
