30 November–17 December 1968 Inchgreen Dry Dock, Greenock, Scotland, UK During preliminary sea trials it was discovered the fuel oil had contaminated the feed water system, because of a faulty non-return valve. The ship was returned to Greenock dry docked for a lengthy cleaning and decontamination period. Captain: WE Warwick
