A Warm Greeting to all Fellow QE2 Enthusiasts
« on: Mar 23, 2011, 07:18 PM »
Greetings All,

My relationship to our beautiful lady is as a privileged passenger who sailed on several voyages -- from short NY-Bermuda cruises to crossings to South Pacific sojourns -- on Signal Deck with Maureen, Gordon, Peter and Paul.

I will always fondly remember the times I spent onboard, not only due to my love for our QE2 but for the crew who, immediately and over the years, have become treasures in their own right.

I am eternally grateful for having had the opportunity to experience the last of the great liners and grateful to be welcomed onto this forum.

Best regards,

Ed.

I guess depending on your viewpoint it can be funny, But it was a nice little eating place, l loved the pre breakfasts :-X and the lunchtime snacks in there, and of course Bobby behind the counter with a twinkle in his eye...
Perhaps you can share with us your tales of this wonderful gastrrnomic delight..
But if you want to swop...Im up in the Gods in the Queens Grill.....I would like to know where next we go...
Anyway welcome onboard and enjoy the company of like minded passengers...
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

Hello Ed

Welcome to the forum.

I am sure you will enjoy sharing your memories of the times you spent onboard the QE2 and reading the many topics.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Hi Ed - Welcome to the forum.  There is an amazing amount of information on this site.  Almost every time I sign on I find a topic I've not seen before.  I'm looking forward to reading your QE2 stories.

Janice
Whenever I hear a sea story I think of the first time I saw the QE2 and the great adventures that followed.

Hello Ed - and a belated Welcome on board!

It's great that you have joined us.
Hopefully you will find the Forum the next very best thing to sailing on QE2!

From what I remember, there's little to date on the Forum about the Greetings and Sailaways that QE2 experienced in the Pacific
Maybe you have special memories of her in these parts of the world?

Cheers

Rosie

My relationship to our beautiful lady is as a privileged passenger who sailed on several voyages -- from short NY-Bermuda cruises to crossings to South Pacific sojourns -- on Signal Deck with Maureen, Gordon, Peter and Paul.

I also crossed with Gordon, Maureen, and Peter, along with Sheila, and it was a wonderful experience for which I am grateful. And I was lucky to have Peter take care of me on QM2 also. I heard that Gordon has passed away, which is very sad. I haven't been on QM2 since Covid so I don't know what Peter is doing, and I have not seen Maureen in many years.
