Given (I assume) you are the Admin for the FLO site and both image and copyright are owned by you then I don't see an issue and thanks for posting - great shot btw

I suspect that photo was taken in 1997 or 1998 (the lion above the Cunard name went in 1996) when QE2's exterior was a disgrace - not helped with the cancellation of the 1998 refit.

And given the suspected date the photo was not during the Trafalgar years as the chap on the forum says but the Kvaerner years.

Here's a picture I took during QE2's maiden call at Invergordon on 4 September 1995.

I remember being not too fond of the speed stripe and blue hull at first, but finally got used to it through the years.

However I was very pleased when she reverted to her original/present livery in 1999.

To me, Cunard's corporate identity was a bit weak and complicated during the speedstripe years.

I prefer the more powerful and consistent identity of the present day.

I was onboard too :)

Its amazing that for the crew it made no difference if the ship had stripes our not, the lion or not, the magrodome or not for us the main think is that we were working onboard her.She looked always beautifull and elegant in our eyes.

You're right Louis, what we are talking about here are more or less minor details.

She was always beautiful and elegant - and she still is, of course.

To some (including myself), she's just the most beautiful ship ever.
