July 2016 -- QE2's places in history (closed)
« on: Jul 01, 2016, 11:05 PM »
This month's theme is "QE2's places in history", chosen by Bob C, the runner-up of the April competition.

The subject is open to your interpretation. It can be about places in QE2's history, or about QE2's visits to historic places, or to places at historic moments, or any other interpretation you can give to the theme! QE2 should be visible in your pictures.

The prize this month is the novel "Waltzing on the QE2", by Janet G. Go, donated by me, Isabelle Prondzynski.

This is currently selling at GBP 57.39 on Amazon.co.uk (used) and there is also a new copy selling for GBP 202.59 :

We have a Forum topic about it here :

https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/index.php/topic,3944.0.html

I am offering the very book about which I wrote in this topic.

Alternatively, June Ingram has offered as a prize the jigsaw version of the winning photo. It will be interesting to see which is preferred!

The album is open -  so now is the time to look for your most interesting pictures on this theme. Wishing you happy memories as you search your photo collection to find up to three pictures to upload to the competition album.

This link will take you straight there : QE2's places in history.

If you have not uploaded photos to the Forum Gallery before, have a look at these instructions, and if you have any problems, just contact us on admin@theqe2story.com. You could even email the photos to this address, and we can upload them for you.

The deadline for submitting photos is 31 July 2016. Voting will run from 1 August 2016 until 31 August 2016.

We look forward to seeing your photos in this month's competition.

This is the eleventh month of photos for the 2017 calendar. Maybe your picture will be there!

Enjoy yourselves!  :)
