Photo of the month competition - instructions on how to vote for your favourite photo

Thank-you to Hamburger, the winner of the August competition, who suggested the theme, "QE2 in New York" for the November Photo Competition and to everyone who submitted photos.

Voting is easy but you need to be a forum member and log into the forum to vote.  Even if you have not submitted photos please support those who have participated by choosing your three favourite photos, noting the details then tick the relevant box on the poll.  But if you have submitted photos please do not vote for the photos you have entered.

To make it easier for you we have posted the photos below, however you can also view the photos in the Gallery.   When there are many entries you will probably get a better view of the photos in the Gallery where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photo to see medium size, then  click again, to see them in large size.

Click on the Gallery button from the forum or click on this link:
https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=127

The winner will receive a wonder prize and this month Chris Frame is donating a copy his book "Queen Victoria, a Photographic Journey"

You will not see the results until after the voting has closed on 1 January 2015 giving other time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

Please enjoy viewing these fantastic photos and thank-you for voting.

We received a large number of entries for this competition -- QE2 was obviously at home in New York, and very photogenic there!

Enjoy the various contributions, and make sure you vote! Every vote is not only an encouragement to the photographer, but all these pictures and our comments also help to keep the Legend alive.

Four people so far have voted... and we are half-way through a month that will get busier as it goes on...

After enjoying the pictures, cast your vote, even though you might feel spoilt for choice  :) !

As always a difficult choice. Three photos tied for the lead at the moment. Make your vote to see if you can separate them.
Don't just be part of her past, be part of her history!

My votes are cast, and again, it was very difficult to narrow down to three photos all of the magnificent photos entered.   :)

It pains me to not vote for some absolutely superb photos there!!

Well, that's the voting done and I felt it was harder this time with so many great entries.    The best of luck to whoever wins but one thing is certain, it won't be me !!       I never had the joy of going to New York on the QE2 just the Queen Mary.

Only 13 votes so far... Now that you have a bit of time over the Christmas break, please take a moment to enjoy the pictures and decide which three you like best. A moment well spent, I am sure, with such a wealth of memories to treasure!

Online Lynda Bradford

It does seem such a pity that we only have 14 votes so far for this month's competition, but lets hope that now that Christmas is over members can find time to have a look at the photos and vote.  :)

To all of our Forum members - Please do vote.  Not only does it give one an opportunity to bring back wonderful memories as we look at the spectacular photos of our beloved QE2, but by so doing, we continue to keep alive the memory of our QE2 as she sits in isolation.
