Interesting. I've never heard of a Cunarder in recent times being mistaken for the liner living out a well-earned retirement in Long Beach. That's a new one for me.

Its still amazes me, and sickens me to a degree that people out there think QE2 is NOW a  floating hotel in Dubai and more so when l refer to Queen Mary that people assume l mean QM2 The fact that i have notched up over a week on Queen Mary, its a week more than l will ever notch on QM2. Its only fair that l correct them , if only for my peace of mind.

There is still confussion out there for people who are none shippies.. ::)

Yes Myles, sometimes I find it difficult to believe.
"The QE2 is one of the last great transatlantic liners, and arguably the most famous liner in the world"

"QE2 and Concorde, a partnership that lasted almost 30 years... two stunning pieces of engineering, never to be forgotten!"

I've notched up three days on Queen Mary and will notch up seven days on QM2 (I know she's not everyone's taste). Though I find it crazy when people don't get the names right. I usually let it drop though. There are times where I do if I hear them, but usually it's through the internet and correction doesn't always fly well. I don't understand their hobbies.
