Battle of the Atlantic Anniversary
« on: May 30, 2013, 06:28 PM »
While the QE2 "won Her spurs" in the South Atlantic in 1982, there were still a few Atlantic Star ribbons on display amongst the crew then. The little film below pays tribute to the Royal and Merchant Navies, and the people of Liverpool who suffered so much to keep the seaways open. Truly humbling.

And, an interesting aside. One of the contributors is Stuart Wood, a Mersey Pilot and historian. He's also listed as Nautical Director of the QE2 London Group in their brochure.
