Cunard QE2 & Caronia Promotional Video

From the late 1990s, when Project Queen Mary was just starting, and QE2 and Caronia were riding high.

Passionate about QE2's service life for 40 years and creator of this website.  I have worked in IT for 28 years and created my personal QE2 website in 1994.

Quite a few familiar faces on both videos but, i wish they would have a few more passengers around when they make these sort of promotional videoa, without them it looks like the an advert for the RMS Mary Celeste!

Served on both, or should i say all 3, great times and great friends/crew.

Seems to have been made only a year or so after 'The Art of Cruising' in the other thread but a clear change of style after the change of ownership and seemingly aimed at a US not British audience.

It has prompted me to re-watch a Caronia VHS promotional video of around 12 minutes directly aimed at UK passengers extolling the virtues of round trips from Southampton on a smaller more intimate ship and with many apparently real passengers praising her and aiming some gentle digs at bigger ships with two dinner sittings - not the single in the Franconia Restaurant. This seems to date from 2001-02 and may be the last made for Caronia. Another very different approach.
