« on: Nov 28, 2011, 10:16 AM »
Just  thought I would keep you up to date with a new day in history looming ,this Saturday coming "3rd December 2011"Queen Victoria arrives in her NEW home port of Hamilton,Bermuda for the first and last time according to Cunard"s itineries and as for the other two Queens both QM2 and QE never go "Home" until at least after 2013 .So much for home PORTS .I wonder what sort of send off she gets.
If anyone of you is on board ,happy cruising ,and can we have some pics please cheers

So much for home PORTS

The term 'Home' port really does jar in this context, doesn't it?!
It's doubtful whether it will become much used outside of Bermuda
specially as Queen Victoria will be spending just six or so hours there, and her fleetmates even less!
Bit like runaway daughters....!
I guess that the people of Monfalcone could also claim her as a (previous) resident too.
However isn't it the UK that remains home in our hearts to all Cunarders, both past and present?
Hope so, and hope the media, and all interested others think so too!!

Maybe we should refer to Hamilton as the Exile Port?
