Qe2 1970's tables and chairs
« on: Jan 29, 2009, 10:21 PM »
Came across this website who are selling a few tables, chairs and stools from the QE2 in the 1970's. Have a look at
http://www.trinitymarine.co.uk/  click passenger ship collectables then type in QE2 in the search box.

Note:  Link to web site but not chairs

I was rather taken with the diving helmet but would look a little out of place in the bath!

oh Andy. I like your sence of humour  ;)

I happen to have  QE2 Bar stool from the 90's I think from the Pavillion. AS it was directly mounted into the floor I need a stand for it. I would like a chair from the Princess Grill. I have seen the special design in a magazine somwhere.
Im free...

"Just as a matter of interest!"
Micheal, were these chairs ever on board QE2 - or was it just the smaller Heritage Race chairs in both the the Grills?

Just wondering, about the original seating in the both the Queens' Grill and Princess' Grill Lounges

The Harry Bertoia chairs were in the Coffee Club 'bit'...weren't they?
And were there any armchairs by Le Corbusier armchairs (black leather and chrome frames),
Mid-ship's Bar,
or Barcelona seats by Mies van de Rohe - in the Grand Lounge, perhaps?

(Mods - I'm fairly certain there is another topic QE2 and Chairs...have these been amalgamated somewhere else?
Sorry if this post is out of kilter! R)
