Born: 26 April 1956 in Kingston Jamaica
Died: 14 January 2021
Navy Career:
Trained at Warsash Maritime Academy
Joined Cunard when he was 18 as a Cadet
2001: First Command - Cunard's Caronia
Served on other Cunard ships as well as Princess and P&O ships
2006: Master of QE2. Captain Perkins was QE2's 25th Captain
2008: Captain Perkins had the honour of being in command of QE2 for her final World Cruise and sailed the ship into Sydney Harbour, when the QE2 brought the city to a standstill as so many people wanted to see the ship
Retired from Cunard in 2012
