Passionate about QE2's service life for 40 years and creator of this website.  I have worked in IT for 28 years and created my personal QE2 website in 1994.

Superb photos, marvellous how many previously unseen there are outhere.   I know it's on another topic somewhere on the forum, but the more I see , I 'm beginning to prefer her as 'original', so sleek & clean.

Excellent selection of images and so good to see her all shiny and new.

I will confess to being not very knowledgeable on the subject of flags (amongst many other things) so does anyone know what the white flag with the black Maltese cross on is?
Don't just be part of her past, be part of her history!

I think it's the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders flag - she was still the property if the yard.

  • Beautiful, elegant QE2 - forever Queen of the Seas
These are wonderful pictures!  QE2, in my thoughts, is the most beautifully designed ship ever.  I do prefer her teenage sleekness, but like most people, she put on a little weight as she matured.  At any age, she is the superb beauty while maintaining the look of power !
QE2 - the ship for all of time, a ship of timeless beauty !

Wonderful to see these photos of QE2 in her early years!
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank
