Well I certainly hadn't seen it until just now, thank you very much for posting!  Fabulous, and reminds us what an important place she had in the UK's awareness at that time.

That was filmed in September 1968 (19th I think) when a major press visit was held to witness steam raised for the first time.

That was filmed in September 1968 (19th I think) when a major press visit was held to witness steam raised for the first time.

There was a lot of media interest at that time just prior to the ship leaving Clydebank.  In those days when you went to the cinema there was Pathe News and Newsreel footage to keep people informed.  Clydebank people were very proud of our ship and loved seeing footage such as this at the cinema or TV and reading about progress in the news.
